The first week's results

220.1
9 pounds lost
2 inches lost from waist

WOW! I must admit I am impressed. Not so much with the weight loss as the 2 inches. The nine pounds is a good start too though! Today I get to add some fun stuff to my diet. I get Light string cheese and I can have some lettuce and some tomatoes so I can make a salad now! I went to the store and bought more protein shakes for breakfast and then some salad fixins. I had some cheese, and I am now a happy camper. AND...I can have PICKLES!!! LOL.

The doctor said to expect a two pound weight loss for next week. I'm hoping for more, but I'll take what I can get. At this rate I won't be at my goal weight for months, which is a little disheartening. I've decided to break it up into smaller goals so that it doesn't seem so far off. SO my next goal is 10 pounds, and I want to lose that within the next month. If I can get under 200 lbs by Thanksgiving, that would be awesome! It really bothers me that Mom weighs less than me now, so I HAVE to catch up.

My sister was frustrating me today. She's trying to help me, but she doesn't understand that having bad knees and rebuilding muscle from knee surgery makes it really hard to to cardio. I told her that by November I should be able to go on walks. Plus it will be cooler then, and that will help keep my swelling down. She doesn't get it. She doesn't know how bad I hurt when my knee is swollen and my legs are red and blotchy because I stood all day at work. She sits at work, so maybe that's why. Oh well, I'm going to do what I can, and when I'm ready, I'll do more. If I push it, I'll just end up hurting myself and then I'll have to start all over!

I wish I could be thinner by the time I go to Scotland. Thinner than 200 pounds would be nice but that's not gonna work. HOWEVER, I will weigh less than I do NOW, so that will help my knees when I am walking on the Royal Mile. (Cobblestones and big hills). I can't WAIT to go! I'm REALLY looking forward to it!

  1. Wow, that's awesome Joni! Keep it up, you'll get there in no time. Tell Janine that I said to wait a moment. You'll get to exercising when you're ready. One step at a time. When is Scotland again?
