Week 19

197 pounds!
32 pounds lost!

Well...I'm back! These last few weeks have been such minor losses that I didn't even feel the need to mention them. All through November I was only losing a pound here or a half pound there. I dropped by weigh-ins to just twice for the whole month. Thanksgiving was fantastic, but I gained three pounds. I took it off by the next weigh in though. I'm back to every week now. For a while there I was just NOT staying away from the carbs. This only works if you are good, and I was not good. Well, to be honest, I wasn't staying in my calorie count either. I'm lucky I didn't gain all my weight back. I just got so bored with they same boring stuff. I was sick of not having bread and only having taco salad instead of tacos. But guess what? There are low carb flour tortillas out there and lo carb bread. The bread is awful, but at leat I can have a sandwich. The tortillas are pretty good if they are filed with taco fixins and not plain. I have been focusing on two shakes a day because it's better to leave for lunch on a work day and sit in my car then to sit in the break room with actual food. Last week I weighed 201 and it was weird because my fat weight was down by 5 and my water weight was up by 4.8. Then this week my fat was up by five and my water was down by six and a half. Of course, I have had a stomach virus for two days, and came home sick from work today. All my water weight is now...flushed. The doctor said to just go bythe 197 this week, because there's no way I lost six and a half pounds of water but gained five in fat and yet still managed to lose 4 pounds overall. He said the fancy scale was thrown out of whack, probably from my dehydration. But, the most important thing about this weigh-in is that I am under 200 pounds!!!! I haven't been under 200 in I don't know how long. I am so excited. If I can manage to maintain my water weight, my fat percentage should go down by next weigh-in and I will officially be under 200 from now on!!! Yay!!! This has given me the boost I need to get back on track. All my clothes are fitting looser and I''m going to need smaller work pants soon! I wish I was already at my goal weight, but I am happy with my 32 pound loss and it's just going to get higher and higher!! I have 47 pounds to go! I think I'll be there just in time for summer!

One last thing...I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!!! Mom and I are going next Thursday and Friday. I'm so excited! I hope mom and I don't kill each other. We don't travel well together. But, if we can't get along at the Happiest Place on Earth...then I can just ditch her and be by myself. Ha! Ok, off to drink more fluids so I can get over this food poisoning/stomach virus misery.

  1. GOOOOO JONI!!!!! I'm so proud of you and the hard work you're putting in. You'll get to your goal weight in no time at all! I'm hoping to be at my goal weight by this time next year. From my last weigh in that is another 63 pounds. Very doable, especially if I get busy and off my duff.

    I'm green with envy about Disneyland! I wanna go so bad. :(
